To make the best of Sydney you need to be in the best location. We’re it.
Our amazing views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and city skyline show
you just how close we are to Australia’s premier landmarks.
But we are not in the heavy traffic and noise of the city proper but a short walk
away on quiet, tree-lined Victoria Street in one of Sydney’s most interesting suburbs, Kings Cross.
It’s always been the heartland for backpackers because it’s so convenient
and so liveable. You are not swallowed up in a big hostel in a busy city and
you are not stranded miles away from what you really want to do and see in Sydney.

How to get to the Kanga House by bus shuttle:
We recommend you catch one of the frequent shuttle services from the Airport.
They use 15 seater vans that start from just outside Arrivals.
At the International Terminal they are out the door and to the right and at the Domestic Terminal they are between T1 and T2.
They cost about $10 one way and most have representatives at the main terminals.
They will bring you straight through to Kanga House in about 30 mins from the Airport.
How to get to the Kanga House by train:
Catch the Airport Link Service from the Airport - about $12- trains depart every 10 minutes from 5am.
The front part of the train stops next to a lift on platform 21 at Central Station.
Go to platform 24 (always check the platform monitors) and take the Eastern Suburbs Line
(Town Hall, Martin Place, Kings Cross, Edgecliff, Bondi Junction), getting off at Kings Cross.
These trains leave every 10 minutes.
Take the Victoria Street exit at Kings Cross and walk down Victoria Street about 80 metres,
past a few street cafes and other backpacker hostels.
Kanga House is on the left, a large "Heritage" building painted yellow, so you cant miss us!
Again the trip takes a bit over 30 minutes.
